NATIONA PLACE NAMES CONFERENCE PDF Print E-mail
Big news for the National Place Names Project is the organisation of their first national conference in Melbourne on the 16th July.

This is being staged to coincide with the 1996 conference of the Australian Historical Association, at which the N.P.N.P. has been allocated a one hour session on the Tuesday morning.

This session was requested by the N.P.N.P. as an opportunity to publicise their project among the Australian Historical Community, and spread interest in their activities to a broader audience.

Cost for the N.P.N.P. conference will be $25. Organisers are keen for as many people as possible to attend and would like to know numbers early.

Pamphlets and registration forms will be distributed soon, and for further enquiries contact Bill Noble. 2/1 Aaron Place, Wahroonga. N.S.W.
