NEWS FROM NOONGAR PDF Print E-mail
There has been plenty of activity at the Noongar Language and Culture Centre Aboriginal Corporation, with the expansion of offices and publication of their first newsletter last month. Administrator Ray Wallace says the centre is keen to decentralise from the Perth administration base, and has begun the process by establishing a Language Recording office in Bunbury. Soon to follow will be offices in Northam and Albany, providing easier access for Noongar members and public from the areas surrounding Perth. Also improving communication in the region is the publication of the first Newsletter from the Noongar Language Centre. This was distributed in March and covers Western Australian state affairs, finance and grant applications, as well as social issues and a touch of gossip.
