OVER 500 representatives from countries including Canada, New Zealand, the United States and Australia attended the recent United Nations Indigenous Peoples and Racism Conference in Sydney.

Delegates to the conference were offered the chance to take part in a wide range of workshops and seminars over the three days, before adopting a draft report containing 56 recommendations relating to racial discrimination against indigenous peoples. The report and its recommendations will be presented to the UN World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa this August.
