Thls new online language teaching course has been developed by the Ngapartji. Ngapartji team who have complied 26 part program. The lesson making comprises weekly workshop, barbeques, bush trips. filming and production workshops an and around Alice Springs with young (generally 12- 17th) Pitjantjatjara speakers, Working with BighART arts mentors, elders. their families Pitjantjatjara linguists and teachers, the young peoples become YOUR tutors.

The course fees Include a ticker to the Melbourne International Arts Festival season October
12- 17th, a copy of the Institute for Aboriginal Development Press Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara hardback dictionary And access to the 26 part course.Your course fees go directly to funding the project on the ground; AV equipment, staff costs, running the land cruiser, catering workshop buying shoes for young people etc.

The course curriculum wiil follow two Pitjantjatjara learners' guide-s; Paul Eckaret's Wangka Wiru and Cliff Goddard's Learners Guide to Pitjantjatjara closely guided by the Kay Language and Culture Advisor Lorna Wilson. Some of the course will be structured around more formal learning curriculum, some will be driven by the stories young people want To tell, and some will be directly linked to the final theatre production of Ngapartji Ngapartji.

The Ngapartji team will be making the course as you are taking it and will provide a basic Introduction to key themes, vocabulary and structure of the Pitjantjatjara language. Undertaking the course will provide a deeper framework for encountering this profoundly engaging new theatre work from performer. Trevor Jamieson and family which is already being booked to tour the country before heading overseas.

The course will be launched for UWA Perth International Arts Festival audiences in July/August and for Sydney Opera House Audiences in November 2006. There's also an option to undertake the course without attending the Festival shows.
