Wurdaliya Kujika'Kujika' are Sacred ceremonial songs (or 'Big-History' songs) of the Yanyuwa people from Borroloola in the Northern Territory. Kujika are believed to have been composed by the ancestral beings as they crossed the land. They often constitute song-cycles and/or Dreaming paths. Some of these song cycles are epic in proportion and performance, and may exceed two hundred verses. Many are sacred and create the sense of a Dreaming creator as the voice of the song. Owners of particular stretches of country (ngimirringki) have the right to perform particular songs and ceremonies at sites along a Dreaming path.

The Wurdaliya Kujika illustrated below travels about 38km from Aburri Reef around Western Island and is sung by the Wurdaliya clan during important initiation and funeral ceremonies. Below are some of the verses associated with Aburri Reef (number 1. on the map). The complete Kujika contains more the 320 verses.
